WWII Tramp Steamer Sunk 
This short novel, set around 1950, deals with a pair of tramp steamers, caught in a North Atlantic winter storm. It introduces us to some interesting lifelong merchant seamen, but is mostly valuable for the period details of the ships and their potential flaws under stress.
