“If there is something unsaid or undone in your life, it is never too late to rectify it.” That quote from Icelandic writer-director Baltasar Kormákur (101 Reykjavík) gets to the heart of Touch. His daughter gave him Ólafur Jóhann Ólafsson’s novel as a Christmas present in 2021 and, enthralled by the material, he bought the film rights within a week. His goal was to lure audiences with a complex romantic story but tell it in a quiet, understated way. He’s achieved just that.

Having met Picasso when she was just twenty-one and he forty years older, she gave birth to two of his children—Claude Picasso and Paloma Picasso—before becoming, by his admission, the only woman ever to leave him.

Each story is about witches and features different actors, except for Mangano who stars in all segments.Film production took place in the period in which Eastwood was often in Italy because he was working with Sergio Leone in his epic ‘dollar trilogy’ Spaghetti Western movies. RIP Helmut Berger passed away.
Helmut Berger was an Austrian actor, known for his portrayal of narcissistic and sexually-ambiguous characters. He was one of the stars of the European cinema in the late 1960s and 1970s, and is regarded as a sex symbol and pop icon of that period.[1]

The title comes from a section of Arizona State Route 74 in north Phoenix. Said Lightfoot, “I thought it would make a good title for a song. I wrote it down, put it in my suitcase and it stayed there for eight months.”[2] The song employs “Carefree Highway” as a metaphor for the state of mind where the singer seeks escape from his ruminations over a long ago failed affair with a woman named Ann. Lightfoot has stated that Ann actually was the name of a woman Lightfoot romanced when he was age 22:[2] “It [was] one of those situations where you meet that one woman who knocks you out and then leaves you standing there and says she’s on her way.
